Kristina Christie, Administrator
Kristina joined the museum staff in February 2001. She is responsible for the general oversight of all the activities occurring at the Museum. Her duties include: planning, room rentals, scheduling, budgeting and oversight of the programs, events, exhibits, and care of the historic buildings and collections. She regularly works with all four entities of the Museum. Her full-time position is funded by the Park District.
Mickey Horndasch, Museum Curator
Mickey joined the museum staff in February 1996. She is responsible for the care and management of the museum’s collection of historical artifacts and documents. Mickey is responsible for the organization and set-up of the exhibits. She also works on digitization projects at the library. Her part-time position is partially funded by both the Park District and the Memorial Library.
Melody Smith, Development Coordinator
Melody joined the museum staff in August 1997. In June 2000 her position changed from Society Coordinator to Development Coordinator. She is responsible for fundraising and special events for the Historical Society. Her part-time position is funded by the Historical Society.
Cathy Robertson, Museum Program Coordinator
Cathy joined the museum staff in December 1997. Her duties include the initiating, planning, and implementation of the museum’s craft and educational classes, bus trips, and special events. Her part-time position is funded by the Park District.
Bev Ottaviano, School Scout Coordinator
Bev joined the museum staff in November 1993. She is in charge of developing, implementing and promoting the museum’s specialized programming for school and scout audiences. Her part-time position is funded by the Park District.
Rich Lisy, Facilities Attendant
Rich joined the museum staff in June 2000. He is responsible for covering evening room rentals and programs. He does some set-up and take-down for rentals and programs. In addition, he does odd jobs around the museum. His part-time position is funded by the Park District.
Ryan Lendy, School and Scout Instructor/Museum Facilities Attendant
Ryan joined the museum staff in September 2005. He teaches many of our school and scout programs. He is also responsible for the set-up and removal of equipment for museum classes, programs, room rentals and special events. His part-time position is funded by the Park District.
Jennifer Tariq, School and Scout Instructor/Heritage Gallery Attendant
Jennifer joined the museum staff in May 2005. She teaches many of our school and scout programs. She also covers additional shifts in the Heritage Gallery. Her part-time positions are funded both by the Park District and the Historical Society.
Breanne Goldman, Karen Modica-Fitzsimmons, & Ryan Danzinger
Heritage Gallery Attendants
Breanne joined the museum staff in July of 2002. Karen joined the museum staff in May of 2004. Ryan joined the museum staff in August 2004. They work on the weekends in the Heritage Gallery. They organize the Gallery Shop, keep track of its inventory and other miscellaneous paperwork. Their part-time positions are funded by the Historical Society.
