Junior Historian Program

Junior Historian Club

This is club designed for boys and girls from third through eighth grade. Through different activities members will have the opportunity to learn more about their community and its heritage, participate in hands-on projects, and meet other students their age with similar interests. Topics change each year, but could include the following: cemetery study, pioneers, cooking, anthropology and archeology, U.S. history, botany, and subjects related to scout achievements.

Junior Historians meet four times a year in the months of September, November February, and April. Meetings will be held on the 2nd Saturday of the month from 10am-Noon. Programs begin in September. The registration fee for each participant is $10 per year. There is a $5 fee each month for supplies. A family museum tour is included with each membership. Junior Historians are also invited to march in the July 4th Parade with other Historical Society members.
