- Warren Wahl was born in Arlington Heights and lived on the same block for 52 years. He is a retired commercial artist and art gallery owner. Photography, drawing, painting, youth art mentoring, and local history are some interests that keep him busy. He is a member of the Collections, and Library Committee, the Heritage Gallery Advisory Committee, and the Publications Committee. As Warren states: “I ask a lot of questions. I am not happy with the status quo . . . and . . . I do not mind being last in line.”

- Sue Lyon has lived in Arlington Heights for the past 11 years after previously living in Connecticut and Warsaw, Poland. Sue currently is a realtor at Picket Fence Realty and has worked in staging and relocation. She is a former trustee of First Presbyterian Church and belongs to the PEO. Sue's home was featured in the 2003 House Walk and she loves anything involved with history, especially houses and architecture. She enjoys serving on the Board and hopes to continue to contribute to the community and to further the Society's goals.
- Dawn Walter and her family of six have resided in Arlington Heights since 1992. Dawn dedicates her time to her four children first and involves herself in her children’s education through the PTA. Dawn currently works part time at Curves, but finds herself involved in numerous organizations. She has volunteered for Irish Fest for the last five years and the recent Drive to Revive Memorial Park fundraiser. Dawn has also served as Marshall for the Frontier Days Festival and as a member of the Arlington Heights Citizen Police Association. Dawn enjoys artisan projects including weaving and pottery and is Chairperson of South PTA Art Reflection, member/volunteer of the Arlington Heights Art Guild, and volunteer for the Arlington Heights Arts Commission. Her goal as a Board Member is to bring in new members and volunteers to assist the Historical Society in reaching its community goals.

- Sally Danzinger is a retired social studies and reading teacher and is currently a learning center assistant at Holmes Jr. High School. During her 28-year residency in Arlington Heights, she has volunteered for clothing and food drives and numerous Arlington Heights Historical Society events. Sally’s family has been a part of U.S. History, for one great uncle wrote the first dictionary of the Lakota language, while his brother was sent by President Grant to Europe as an emissary to the European embassies. Reading, walking, biking and swimming are favorite hobbies.
- Betsy Kmiecik has been a resident of Arlington Heights for 25 years. She is currently Vice President of Human Resources for Paddock Publications. Her volunteer activities include the Arlington Heights Chamber of Commerce past president and chamber board, and ABC 25 Foundation board member. She enjoys reading, gardening, and exercise.
- Adam Poteracki joined the Arlington Heights Historical Society Board in the summer of 2010. Adam is an attorney at DiMonte and Lizak, LLC in Park Ridge and has resided in Arlington Heights for five years. He enjoys reading, spending quality time with his family, and traveling. He and his wife, Katy, are expecting their first child in early 2011 and look forward to being a part of the Arlington Heights community for many years to come.
- Megan Specht is a former resident of Arlington Heights having lived in Palatine for the last 14 years. She has worked in Arlington Heights for over 17 years as the former manager of customer service for the catalog division of Design Toscano and for the past 11 years as an agent with Picket Fence Realty. Megan has volunteered for various organizations and charities and is a member of the Arlington Heights and Palatine Chambers of Commerce, and was the 2009 President of Project Buzz. She has been involved with the Society for the last 10 years having assisted with the Arlington Eve event and for 10 years has served as a house captain for the House Walk. She finds the history of our area fascinating and looks forward to learning more about our community’s past and celebrating its future. While serving on the Board she hopes to further the Society’s goals to preserve the historical integrity of Arlington Heights and to get more people interested and involved in its offerings.
