- John Flynn has been a resident of Arlington Heights for 10 years. He is a retired executive from United Airlines. John volunteers with the Arlington Heights Memorial Library’s Genealogy Section and with the Boy Scouts. He looks forward to joining the Board to contribute to the community and to further the Society's goals.
- Carol Frieburg has lived in Arlington Heights for 50 years and has been actively involved with the Society since the 1970s serving on numerous committees and conducting tours. Carol is a Customer Service/Inside Sales Supervisor for Specialty Construction Brands. She is actively involved at First Presbyterian Church serving as a trustee, curriculum writer, and a member of the bell choir. She participates in the planning of the Annual Fashion Show to benefit the Northwest Community Healthcare Foundation. Carol also serves on the Regional Alumni Board of Illinois Wesleyan. We welcome Carol back onto the Board after also having served previously as Society President. She finds the Museum an exciting venue for educating and entertaining children and adults of all ages. Her goals coming back onto the Board include the recruitment of volunteers and new members and seeking what will make them more active with the Society.
- Megan Specht is a former resident of Arlington Heights having lived in Palatine for the last 12 years. She has worked in Arlington Heights for over 15 years as the former manager of customer service for the catalog division of Design Toscano and for the past 9 years as an agent with Picket Fence Realty. Megan has volunteered for various organizations and charities and is a member of the Arlington Heights and Palatine Chambers of Commerce, and is the 2009 President of Project Buzz. She has been involved with the Society for the last 8 years having assisted with the Arlington Eve event and for 8 years has served as a house captain for the House Walk. She finds the history of our area fascinating and looks forward to learning more about our community’s past and celebrating its future. While serving on the Board she hopes to further the Society’s goals to preserve the historical integrity of Arlington Heights and to get more people interested and involved in its offerings.
- Warren Wahl was born in Arlington Heights and lived on the same block for 51 years. He is a retired commercial artist and art gallery owner. Photography, drawing, painting, youth art mentoring, and local history are some interests that keep him busy. He is a member of the Collections, and Library Committee, the Heritage Gallery Advisory Committee, and the Publications Committee. As Warren states: "I ask a lot of questions. I am not happy with the status quo . . . and . . . I do not mind being last in line."

- Tom Lozowski has lived in Arlington Heights for 10 years. He has over 30 years of sales and managerial experience and is a former federal credit union director. He was a volunteer for the Chicago Park District working in the Marquette Park rose garden and greenhouses as well as special projects at the Garfield Park Conservatory. Tom serves as chair of the Heritage Gallery committee. His objective is to help insure that today’s and tomorrow’s children have properly preserved artifacts and recorded cultural context to understand our history and heritage.
- Sue Lyon has lived in Arlington Heights for the past 9 years after previously living in Connecticut and Warsaw, Poland. Sue currently is a realtor at Picket Fence Realty and has worked in staging and relocation. She is a former trustee of First Presbyterian Church and belongs to the PEO. Sue's home was featured in the 2003 House Walk and she loves anything involved with history, especially houses and architecture. She enjoys serving on the Board and hopes to continue to contribute to the community and to further the Society's goals.
- Dawn Walter and her family of six have resided in Arlington Heights since 1992. Dawn dedicates her time to her four children first and involves herself in her children’s education through the PTA. Dawn currently works part time at Curves, but finds herself involved in numerous organizations. She has volunteered for Irish Fest for the last four years and the recent Drive to Revive Memorial Park fundraiser. Dawn has also served as Marshall for the Frontier Days Festival and as a member of the Arlington Heights Citizen Police Association. Dawn enjoys artisan projects including weaving and pottery and is Chairperson of South PTA Art Reflection, member/volunteer of the Arlington Heights Art Guild, and volunteer for the Arlington Heights Arts Commission. Her goal as a Board Member is to bring in new members and volunteers to assist the Historical Society in reaching its community goals.
- Phill Walter has lived in Arlington Heights since 1970, and continues to live her with his wife and four children. He is currently President of M. Walter Roofing. Prior to 1997 he performed research for 12 years at the University of Chicago and Penn State University. Phill has a Masters in Molecular Biology and taught biochemistry at Penn State. Running for Arlington Heights Village Trustee, Phill enjoyed speaking with people. Wanting to become more involved in Arlington Heights, he naturally choose the Historical Society given his love of history and his family’s background. His father is an avid Revolutionary and Civil War re-enactor and had assisted in appraising the Society’s collection. Phill serves on the Society’s Membership and Fundraising committee, as he continues to promote the Society’s activities.

- Matt Fink has been a resident of Arlington Heights for the past eleven years. Matt currently serves as a Vice President with The Peoples' Bank of Arlington Heights which he helped to start in 1999. Matt is involved in the Arlington Heights Chamber of Commerce through the Downtown Business Committee and is also a member of the Rotary Club of Arlington Heights. Matt values the history of the Village and the services provided by the Society to learn about that history. He appreciates the value of local, historical documents and their accessibility through the Digital Past website as well as the Society’s importance to the community. Matt would like to increase awareness of the Society's offerings and events in the community in order facilitate increased membership and participation.
- Tom Hahn is a mechanical engineer and has lived in Arlington Heights for 50 years. Tom's family and the Frieburg family were neighbors for many years on Eastman Street. Tom is a volunteer (Red Shirt) at Frontier Days and serves as a butler at the Banta House Holiday Teas. He is currently the Society's President, on the membership and fundraising committees and is the Society's representative on the Museum Advisory Committee.
- Michael Singer has been a resident of Arlington Heights for over 22 years. He is a principal in the firm of Michael J. Singer and Company, P.C., which he founded in 1970. Michael attended Roosevelt University, where he completed several graduate level accounting courses. He has worked in the field of accounting for over 40 years, was the controller of a medium sized retailer for two years and in public accounting for the remainder of his years. He has been a member of several senior committees of the Illinois CPA Society, is the Chairman of the IRS Practice and Procedures Committee and is currently a member of the Tax Executive Committee of the Society. He is an active member of the O'Hare Chapter of the Illinois CPA Society, of which he is currently the Legislative Committee Chair and has been a past president for three yearly terms. In addition, Michael serves on the Illinois Department of Revenue Processing Advisory Board Committee that meets several times each year with executive level managers of the Department. In addition, Michael teaches numerous seminars on tax related subjects to other CPA’s for the Illinois CPA Society. Michael serves as the Society's Treasurer and provides financial reporting to the board and suggestions to lower operating costs to the Society.
- Nancy Siria has been a resident of Arlington Heights for 33 years and is a retired teacher having taught in Des Plaines for 30 years. Nancy is an active member of the Society having been a tour guide for 20 years, served on the board for 10 years, and serves on numerous Society committees. For the past 10 years Nancy has worked for the Park District guiding school groups through the Museum complex. She hopes to see the museum grow and continue to enrich the community.
